Meet Jonathan
Hi, thanks for stopping by! I hope that this page helps you better understand some of my passions and experiences in ministry. One thing, however, that can not be represented on this site or in a resume is my drive and hunger for authentic, servant-oriented leadership. God has called me to connect with people and minister to them, guiding them toward a commitment to Christ and nurturing their faith. I desire to support them in living out their faith authentically and using their gifts to honor Him.
I'm a follower of Christ, a husband, a father, and a Pastor. I was born and raised in Wisconsin, which of course means I'm a big Packers fan. I met my wife Lanita at the end of 2008 and we were married just 6 short months later in June of 2009. Since getting married we have had 5 amazing kids.
I felt a distinct call at a young age, a calling that I later reaffirmed by seeking mentorship from my kids and youth pastors. I have always wanted to help people with practical biblical principles, and over the years, I've served in various capacities both within and outside the church. This diverse experience has given me a unique perspective and skills and an excellent opportunity to help people.
I've seen God use me to help those far from Him establish lasting, life-changing relationship with God. It's incredibly fulfilling to be a part of restoring marriages, guiding young adults to discover their purpose, and assisting families in navigating the complexities of raising kids to love, honor, and serve God. The ability to play a role in these transformative journeys is a constant source of inspiration and reaffirms my commitment to the ministry.
Outside of working in ministry, my greatest passion is my family. Whether it's enjoying game nights or exploring nature through hiking, spending quality time with my family brings me immense joy.
Apart from that, I have a keen interest in building things with my hands. While I wouldn't label myself a carpenter, I aspire to repurpose and remodel items. There's a certain satisfaction in creating and the transformation process.

My Heart For Ministry
God has called me to connect with people and minister to them, guiding them toward a commitment to Christ and nurturing their faith. I desire to support them in living out their faith authentically and using their gifts to honor Him.

I value servant leadership and believe that guiding others well begins with my example. I have experience with preparing and preaching sermons, coordinating staff and volunteers, mentoring and developing leaders, and overseeing the day-to-day operations of a church. Seeing people grow in their faith and develop into mature Christians is my greatest joy. I love working with people of all ages and enjoy helping them learn about God and how they can serve Him.
I am enthusiastic about developing leaders, mentoring, and building up families. I firmly believe that our ministry should extend beyond the four walls of the Church. We should not only minister to people while they are in our facility but also foster an environment that continues the conversation from our services to our members throughout the week, with a philosophy of a 24/7 ministry via social media engagement, podcasts, devotionals, etc.

My wife is a steady source of support for me and my ministry. She also shares my passion for ministry and wants to serve the church with her unique gifts. Whenever a need arises, she's always ready to pitch in. Together, we both sense a strong calling from God to reach the lost and unchurched and to disciple and mentor the people around us to make a difference in our world.

I often get asked why I chose a degree in Christian Counseling. There are a lot of people that are new to relationship with Christ but still need a helping hand in healing past hurts. We are made new in Christ but sometimes our baggage is still there and we need help through those things. I believe that getting a Christian Counseling degree with an emphasis on children, youth, and families makes me more equipped to serve the family and help lead them to God, the ultimate healer.
